What's in Our Carry-on?

Once this pandemic is over the first thing I want to do is travel! Legit anywhere like 30 min up the road, to a pond, to another state, anywhere! One of my favorite parts about traveling is packing! I love picking out outfits, getting travel sized stuff that I don’t need, and just overpacking in general! After studying abroad, traveling to 5 different countries and living out of a backpack and carry-on, I've gotten really good at the whole overpacking thing! So below I’ve linked outfit ideas, and my carry on essentials!

When I was abroad my trusty sidekick was my Kaya backpack from Calpak. It’s a small travel backpack, faux leather, holds up through wear and tear really well! I traveled with it for 6 months straight and it still looks brand new! I will say you can’t fit a laptop in it, but it holds a lot!!! I would stuff it to the brim with stuff and it wouldn’t lose its shape and it was very trustworthy. I will say I was on a Paris subway and a guy was opening my backpack and tried to rob me… a woman did call him out and stopped him, but that left a bad taste in my mouth and affected my relationship with Calpak. I still love it tho and it's so relatable. So what would I keep in my Calpak…

  • Allergy pills

  • Passport

  • Journal

  • Penssssss

  • Reusable straw

  • Lightweight Jacket

  • Wallet

  • Brush

  • Phone charger

  • Phone brick

  • Headphones

Airport Outfit: I refuse to be anything but comfortable at an airport! I will not wear anything that will constrict me the more oversized the better. I remember growing up and for some reason my mom would make my brother and I dress up to go to the airport. She would do my hair with clips and scrunchies, make me wear a skirt, with a short sleeve shirt, and Punjabi shoes. I genuinely have no idea what I did to deserve that treatment.

Bottoms:

Shoes: MY ALL STARS AND I ARE INSEPARABLE! Legit these shoes just go with every outfit, are comfortable, and yes I wear the Child All Stars. They fit and hit differently.

Carryon: I’m a basic bish when it comes to packing my carryon. Just clothes, toiletries, a ridiculous amount of socks, and underwear.

Just like Jas I am fond of travelling and it’s something I want to do and was going to do but the pandemic hit and we all were kinda stuck at home. One thing I was looking forward to last summer was finally taking a trip to London with Jas and exploring our first ever trip together. Just like Jas mentioned, one thing I have gotten good at (KINDA) is packing my carry on and going to different places where I have to live out of my backpack and carry on for a few days or even a month.

In my backpack:

  • Laptop

  • Chargers (laptop, cell, brick charger)

  • Travel Personal Care Wipes

  • Travel Disinfectant Wipes

  • Extra Underwear and bras

  • Pads and other period products

  • A notebook

  • Pens

  • Any miscellaneous thing that didn’t fit in my carry on

In my carry-on:

  • Two extra outfits

  • Panties and bra

  • Period products

  • Travel size shampoo and conditioner

  • Travel size lotion, moisturizer with spf (literally the only time i put spf on is when travelling)

  • Travel size facial cleanser

  • Slippers

  • Socks

  • Body Wash

  • Body Oil

  • Skincare

As I’ve talked about what I pack for trips I wanted to share the outfit I would wear. Just like Jas, I refuse to be uncomfortable while sitting in an airplane and going to a country or state that is more than 2 hours away. Below are links to amazon of what I’d wear from sneakers, top, outer, and bottoms.

Leggings:

T-shirt:

Sneakers:

Cardigan:

We hope you liked learning and reading what we pack in our carry-on and enjoyed clicking the amazon links to our outfits! Until next time <3

xoxo,

Harp & Jas
